Cat Friendly Care
It is often said that cats are not small dogs. They are a very different and exceptional species and therefore have different requirements for care. We are dedicated to offering cats and their people the highest level of care throughout all of their lifestages within a cat friendly and cat caring environment.
We understand that visits to the practice can be stressful for you and your cat and we would like to work with you to reduce the stress and anxiety that can be associated with visits. We can give you advice as to how to transport your cat safely and calmly to the surgery. We are cat owners ourselves and understand the unique challenges that may exist with providing healthcare to our feline patients.
We have veterinary and nursing expertise in feline medicine, and we have carefully designed our surgery to be cat friendly by providing:
- Separated cat waiting area
- Cat only consultation times when there are no scheduled routine dog appointments
- Dedicated cat hospitalisation facilities with cat condos for longer stay patients
- Specialised equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of our feline patients
- Feline friendly handling techniques can help reduce the fear that some of our patients may have
Our staff training programme ensures that everyone is kept up-to-date on advancements in feline medicine and surgery to the benefit of our patients and clients.
